My involvement with Art in the Edmonton area includes memberships in a number of Societies including the McMullen Gallery - as the Show Manager

EAC (Edmonton Art Club) - as the Newsletter Editor
EAS (Edmonton Astrological Society) -as membership director
SWCA (Society of Western Canadian Artists) - as the Exhibitions Director

News Flash

In 2005 the opportunity was given to me to visit and partake of some very interesting art education in Venice, Italy. While out there I studied the art of the Masters, Design and Composition and the wonderful architecture that is found everywhere you turn. As part of my studies I visited such galleries as The Margaret Gugenheim Art Museum, the school "Le belle Arti" and other famous museums and galleries.

Oddly or not the best art was still found to be in the major churches and basilica's.
I was lucky enough to be invited into several villas to view and study the murals that had been commissioned several centuries ago. It was facinating to see how many of these murals were almost like the day they were painted.

I have been invited to go back to Venice. We'll see what I can manage.
